4V intake ports are way too big to provide proper throttle response and have a narrow RPM range of operation ( 4000-7000 ). 2V intake ports are smaller and can be designed to operate in a wide range of RPM ( idle-5000 ) or ( 2500-6500 ). This would be adjusted through cam / intake / carb selection. The USA 2V heads have big round 76cc combustion chambers which “burn” poorly and are sensitive to compression above 8.5:1. The solution is the AUSSIE 2V HEAD which has a small 61cc wedge chamber that can handle 10.0:1 compression on pump gas . . .

Clevelands need a high lift cam to make power, but without proper profiles you only end up with power above 4000 rpm. POWERHEADS has designed a .600’’+ lift roller cam with a wide range of operation from 2500-6500 rpm. This cam has an aggressive “hot rod” sound but enough vacuum at idle to run your power brakes, 2800 stahl converter recommended.
