POWERHEADS has been modifying these
heads for over 10 years, probably longer than any US company. Many hours
of flowbench research has gone into our porting designs to ensure our
customers receive the best performing
heads money can buy. Proper machine work, valve seat work, cam tower alignment,
valve springs, installed spring heights, oil seals, followers, correct
lifter pre load, camshaft selection, and assembly of all components is
vital to proper operation. Modular heads are a very complex piece of equipment
and there’s many ways to make mistakes. We have created a process to build
these heads that eliminates problems and ensures the customer they receive
a quality cylinder head that performs correctly from day one.

1) tear down, thermal clean. 2) crack inspection.
3) re-size all guides. 4) CNC performance
porting. 5) machined 5 angle valve seats 6) forged
SS HIFLO valves. 7) comp cams spring package. 8) CBN surface.
9) check cam tower alignment. 10) viton oil
seals. 11) professional assembly of all components as
needed. |

cams are re-engineered factory cams and come with our “lash correction
caps”. Our cams are designed for great performance and reliability
plus that desired “hot rod” sound. They are sold on an “exchange”
